Under 10’s Girls

Moss Lane Rovers 0 v 5 U10’s,  an early onslaught from our girls put pay to any hope of a Moss Lane had of repeating their win over Rochdale Ladies the previous week.

A hat trick in the first 10 minutes from Miley Bennett underlined the Fletcher girls dominance and they continued to keep their opponents at arms length with some excellent passing football, dominant defending and a Tia Forrester masterclass in goalkeeping. Masie Baird added a 4th goal in the 15th minute with the cleanest of strikes, smashing the ball home from 15 yards.  Half time arrived with a 4-0 score-line and with Moss Lane starting to grow into the game. Our girls decided in the second half to manage the game without changes to the formation. Tia continued her imperious goalkeeping and Violet, Georgiana and Amelia defending for their lives. Our 5th goal arrived 10 minutes into the second half, playmaker Indya finishing coolly into the top corner after a quick counter attack. The victory was well deserved as was the MOM award going to Tia Forrester for her excellent goalkeeping display.

Under 7’s and 8’s & 8’s Colts reports.

Mavericks are a team of players who are Manchester City acadamy hopefuls and have smashed all comers this season. Today the 7’s beat them in one games and was narrowly beaten in the second but ran out aggregate winners of the two matches, with Will and Tyler scoring 2 each and Sam, Thomas and Korey weighing in with a goal apiece to help out.

The under 8’s played them on Saturday and drew 1 each in game one and were shaded on the second game. There was to be no smashing of the Fletcher Moss boys this weekend.photo-4
